## Description

siliXon is a web service that turns a plain-English description of an electronic device into a manufacturable printed circuit board (PCB). Instead of spending years learning circuit design, you describe what you want to build, and the service picks real components, places them, routes the board and checks the project.

## Key features

- Schematic generation and board routing from a text description
- Rocky, a conversational assistant that clarifies requirements
- 2D and 3D board preview and editing
- Physics correctness and manufacturability (DFM) checks
- Export of Gerber files, a bill of materials (BOM) and firmware notes
- KiCad import and export on the paid plan

## Who it is for

The service targets beginners with no electronics experience, hobbyists and engineers who need a quick prototype. It supports 2- and 4-layer boards and works mostly with digital designs.

## Pricing and access

A free plan is available: one project every two weeks in public mode. The paid Pro plan costs £14.99 per month and unlocks unlimited projects, privacy and KiCad import/export. The project is in beta, so you may want to double-check a board before manufacturing.

According to the developers, the service finished third in comma.ai's PCB Golf community contest as the only autonomous solution on the podium.
